Skirted garters are fairly self explanatory, like many other good things in life, the clue is in the title. What I love about these most is that they combine just a little hint of a skirt with the lingerie that so many men love, so you can dabble in additional feminine attire whilst remaining firmly in your comfort zone. The garters are detachable, so if you want to wear it with panties instead of panties and stockings, you can. These particular skirted garters from Jezebel are adorable in baby pink with black floral patterning for contrast. Embroidered bows add a little texture to the affair, which is topped off with black mesh ruffles. Beautiful.
A chemise is a lovely piece of lingerie sleepwear that descends from the bosom to the upper thigh with light grace, aiding the transition from the world of wakefulness to the realms of fantasy. Here are two chemises I rather fell in love with, from eminent designer Natori.

Lolita Flower Chemise
I was looking for something that blurred the line of lacey lingerie and, well, a dress and I think I’ve found it. The world of chemises is one fraught with collagen and open cups, but this type of lingerie can be sensual and classy too. (Even if they did have to sling the word ‘Lolita’ into the name of the garment just so its peers wouldn’t stuff it into lockers and give it a complex.) It’s beautiful actually, as is most of the lingerie Natori puts out.
Whilst I’m at it, I’ll also mention the ‘Electro’ from the same family as the Lolita chemise. The Electro is a little more mature and shows a bit more architecture in its construction. It’s certainly one of the most unique chemises I’ve laid eyes on and I’m sure any man who delights in fine lingerie will likewise be entranced by the way his chest is transformed into something quite transcendent and lovely.
Recently we’ve been having some discussions on the forum about what images are and aren’t acceptable. It’s looking like we’re not going to allow members to publish private images of themselves as the general consensus is that these images are often erotically charged, and that’s not the point of the site. I agree with that, but I’ve noticed something else in these discussions, something that quite frankly saddens me.
I was feeling fanciful today, so I thought I might make a collection of lingerie drawing inspiration from the colors of the rainbow. All the lingerie featured here is guaranteed to be bright and uplifting.
We begin with Rainbow Panties, all the colors of the rainbow trapped in frills around your rear, what could be more cheerful? Even the greatest critic of lingerie would have to have a hard heart indeed to not find these charming on some level. Sing along with me! Red and yellow and a slightly darker yellow and aqua marine and purple and blue, I can sing a lingerie rainbow, a lingerie rainbow too!
This French Doll bra takes purple to a whole new level. Note the snippets of pink woven in here and there to make the purple pop for more effect, and the satiny pink flashing across the top of the piece that sets the whole thing off in the same way icing sets off a birthday cake. (That’s where the saying ‘the icing on the cake comes from, you know.) This is a gorgeous piece of lingerie. It’s cut in the balconette style, so it’s perfect for those who don’t have much in the way of cleavage, but who want to feel a pretty bra fastened across their chest.
Representing the green we have this pretty thong that also comes with an attached sheer ‘mini skirt’. If you’re looking for something tropical and super feminine, this really should fit the bill. The thong cut shows off your rear, whilst the mesh skirting subtly hides it, allowing you to play naughty games of peekabo, if you so desire.
For our final touch of blue, we have these lacy blue panties from American Apparel. They also come in a veritable rainbow of other colors if you’d like them in a different shade. The draw point of these panties is the sheer stretch lace which will shift to accommodate you as you grow and dwindle. If you know what I mean. And you do.
We end with a very sweet pair of red polka dot panties by Maidenform. These should be winners for their hipster cut, touch of lace and bold femininity tempered with a certain carefree charm.
Just for something a little different, let’s talk about garters. I think that this garter will be popular with the ‘lingerie for sensuality’ and ‘lingerie for femininity’ crowds because well, it’s utterly gorgeous and comprised of thick bands of lace that will swaddle your midsection in the way only loving lingerie can do. The lace band is a full 7 and 3/4 inches long at the front and sides, that’s coverage above and beyond the call of duty. The rear of the belt is also divine, you can follow the link below to see more product pictures, but trust me when I say that the ‘U’ shaped cut out will show your pantied rear to perfection!
Another line of panties with a wonderful name, the playful promises panty series is a delightfully skimpy and softly feminine line of undergarments that are sure to enchant anyone seeking a silky feminine touch. Today I’m featuring the silk corsage bra and panty set.
Let’s start with the panties first.
Usually one would pin a corsage to the breast region, or perhaps wear it upon one’s wrist, but I think you’re going to want to wear these panties as panties because to do anything else would be to miss out on their soft, silky embrace.
Now, the brassiere.
This is an interesting item of lingerie, not solely because of the light and frilly design, but because it appears to have been made with those who either don’t have natural breasts, or at the very least, very small breasts in mind. It comes in small, medium and large, which is a lingerie manufacturer’s way of telling you that it’s about as supportive as some wet tissue paper in a high wind. No, this is a brassiere designed to do one thing: keep its playful promises and bring pleasure to the wearer.
When pondering the richness of lingerie, one should never forget the many silky sleepwear sets that you can wear whilst you drift of into a world of lingerie dreams. From full length nightgowns to shorter babydolls, there really is sleepwear available for every mood and season. In this article I’m featuring some of the wonderful silk chemises made by Alexander Del Rossa. Not only are they truly beautiful, I find that there is something almost architectural about them. They don’t look good by accident, they sweep and cling and enhance by design.
This classic nightgown (pictured at the outset of the article) is all about the bosom, and even if you’re not naturally endowed with one, you’ll find that the *ahem* engineering of this item makes the most of whatever you have, even if it’s Schwarzenegger style pecs.
The chiffon trim does make this nightgown look a little dress like, but it does so in a stylish 1920’s flapper style sort of way that I find hard to resist.
Last, but certainly not least, a lace trim nightgown that’s a little playful and a little naughty. The sheerness of the lace makes the gown a little shorter (well, the part that covers your body from prying eyes anyway.)
Did I say the lace trim nightgown was the last? I couldn’t leave this article without at least mentioning the wonderful, almost flamenco inspired long chiffon iteration of the Alexander Del Rossa nightgown. If you’re looking for something rega, and sweeping, this might just be the nightgown for you.
Petticoats are a form of lingerie, albeit not one that is often mentioned in these modern times of thongs and visible panty lines. Indeed, the modest petticoat has in many respects gone the way of the steam engine and polio. However it is still possible to buy adorable petticoats from Leg Avenue, fluffy, frilly, lace filled garments swirling about your upper thighs. They’re as dramatic as they are feminine, and if you’re looking for something new to adorn yourself with, they might be just the ticket. I’m featuring a range of Leg Avenue petticoats today, from naughty little short petticoats that barely cover one’s derriere, to romantic knee length garments. The links below correspond to the petticoats shown above reading from left to right (and top to bottom for the middle two.)
Yes, I’ve been on a bit of a ruffle quest. It’s like a vision quest but nobody makes you vomit in a desert. The ‘peek a boo’ in the Peek A Boo Ruffle Panty and Bra Set name refers to the fact that one’s nipples will be exposed when one is wearing this sleepwear set. Yes. It’s a sleepwear set. Can you believe it? I can, but only barely. The model is wearing nipple covers, you know, for modesty. Because nothing says modesty like flesh colored nipple stickers. I’m pretty sure the reason that this is regarded as being a sleepwear set is the fact that the bra offers less than no support, which may not may not matter depending on your particular anatomical configuration.
You’ll notice that the main sponsor of this site is Her Room. There’s more than one reason for this. Of course they supply a wide range of lingerie at decent prices and are known to have pretty good customer service (as reported by several readers of this blog), but over and above this, they openly support men who wear lingerie. This is evidenced by the page aimed openly and unashamedly at male wearers of lingerie on their website. A reader linked me to the page, which impressed me thoroughly with its very useful tips that help men find women’s lingerie that will fit and feel good. It’s great to see retailers responding to the market in a progressive and helpful manner, and it’s wonderful that some of the biggest online lingerie retailers are not only acknowledging that men wear lingerie, but are more than willing to help them find lingerie they’ll love!
Here are some of the popular panties as picked by male customers according to Her Room:
We modern women like to think that we are emancipated and evolved. That we can have it all, be it all, do it all. But have we forgotten some of the traditional values that made us good equals with men? Does a wife ever have a right to complain that her husband is wearing women’s clothing? The idea for this hub came from a comment left on one of my other articles on the subject of men wearing lingerie, in which a woman took the time to share her opinion on the subject of men wearing women’s lingerie and surprised me with her perspective.
Sometimes lingerie doesn’t simply serve as a mere undergarment, it becomes the base for full blown battle attire. You know what I mean, skirts, heels, stockings, war paint – er, ‘make up’, the whole nine yards. In these instances, red lingerie is the only lingerie with the necessary vibrancy and spectrum to properly gird your intentions for what must surely lie ahead.
