I’ve always said that the camisole is one of the most potentially satisfying pieces of lingerie. A good camisole has all the sweet femininity of a bra and panty set, and the soft touch of a satiny pair of panties, but instead of being confined to rather specific parts of your anatomy, the feeling can be enjoyed across the entire torso. I’m featuring two delightful camisoles today, both from well known and proven brands.

The Vanity Fair Satin Glance Camisole is quite a simple piece of lingerie and you might even be able to get away with wearing it under every day attire. There is a little bit of scalloped lace trim, but the real draw of this camisole is the smooth nylon fabric that clings to the body and provides a pleasantly slipping surface against which your outer clothing will move. Putting on a camisole like this is one of the best ways to turn a mundane day into a sensual experience.

Next on my list is the Maidenform All Lace Camisole. This gorgeous camisole will cover you in lace from neck to hip. Reviews indicate that this lace camisole is made of a lace so soft that it feels rather like buttery pantyhose against one’s skin. This is the sort of treat that will not only feel amazing, but look quite stunning too!

I do like a man in a camisole, probably for similar reasons that men like women in camisoles. That lovely smooth fabric (especially if silk or fine nylon) sliding over skin is a sensual pleasure like no other. Panties are lovely of course, but a panty / camisole combination provides so much more scope for slip and slide fun, especially if both parties are wearing similar lingerie. And the lace trim? Well that’s the cherry on the top.

They don’t make a lot of camisoles like this anymore, there’s a somewhat vintage / retro feeling to this piece, which is made from 100% silk in the USA (a bonus for anyone into buying American made products). I love the lace detailing that criss crosses the bodice, providing feminine definition on even the smallest of busts.
